There are some living legends in every game in the world that is being played, or have been played before. Even international poker has some, and one of the greatest of those legends is Doyle Brunson, more famously known as the “Texas Dolly”. He is over 74 years of age, and is still going strong on the international poker market. In the times of depression in Texas, he was born as an ordinary farm boy like many others. His stint at athletics had enabled him to be admitted at many universities using the sports quota. Eventually he had admitted into one of them and was academically funded by one of the NBA’s top teams.

He was out of the Basketball scheme of the scheme when a serious injury in his knee had ended his career in the NBA world. He had to turn to other alternatives then, and thus he completed his master’s degree in order to get a job. He started out in a job as a machine business salesman, but destiny led him somewhere else. On his very first day at the job, he was invited to play poker with some of his colleagues, and he liked the game so much that he developed a natural instinct and passion for it through regular games and practices.

At Forth Worth in Texas, his original skills as a poker player was born and his experience widened through the tough games. His stint and meetings with the legends like Benny Binion and Sailor Roberts also motivated him to take the game more seriously. Eventually he shifted to the poker capital of the world- Las Vegas and began his journey. He had won his first ever WSOP final in the year 1976, and in his glorious career spanning for over 40 years, there are numerous accomplishments that make him shine in the array of the poker stars.
